WHICH ONE WOULD YOU REMEMBER AT 3 AM?
Look at both for five seconds.
Epinephrine is a sympathomimetic amine acting on alpha and beta adrenergic receptors. It is indicated in cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis, and severe asthma. The dose for cardiac arrest is 1 milligram of the 1:10,000 concentration administered intravenously or intraosseously every 3 to 5 minutes, while the dose for anaphylaxis is 0.3 milligrams of the 1:1,000 concentration administered intramuscularly. Practitioners should note that the two concentrations are commonly confused and that confusing them may result in underdosing during a cardiac arrest or an overdose during an anaphylactic reaction.

BUILD THE FOUNDATION
Start at the front of the deck. Drill the abbreviations, mnemonics (SAMPLE, DCAP-BTLS, AEIOU-TIPS), and drug class overviews. Read each card, then cover it and say it back out loud from memory. Any card you can't recall goes in a "redo" pile for the next morning.
DRILL ONE CLASS PER DAY
Move into the medication cards. Work through one drug class per day. For each card, try to recall all six categories before flipping: Action, Indications, Contraindications, Adverse Effects, Dose & Route, Onset & Duration. Say it out loud, then check.
SHUFFLE & MIX
Pull cards from 3-4 different drug classes, shuffle them, and quiz yourself in random order. It feels harder, and that's the point. The NREMT won't ask you cardiac drugs in a tidy block, so your studying shouldn't either.

I'm an EMT, can I still use these?
Yes - especially if you're planning to advance. These cards cover paramedic-level pharmacology, so some meds will go beyond your current scope. But that's actually the point. EMTs who get familiar with these drugs before paramedic school hit the ground running while everyone else is still trying to keep up. Even if advancement isn't on your radar yet, understanding what your paramedic partner is pushing on scene makes you a better EMT today.
Do these cards cover every med?
Yes - 72 medications covering the full scope of paramedic pharmacology. We're talking pressors, antiarrhythmics, analgesics, sedatives, bronchodilators, reversal agents, and more. These aren't random drugs pulled from a textbook - they're the medications you'll be expected to know, draw up, and push on scene. If it's in your protocol, it's in the deck.
Can't I just make my own?
You could. But between sourcing accurate drug information, cross-referencing protocols, and actually designing something worth studying from - most students give up or end up with something incomplete. What if these cards don't match my textbook?
Some things may differ - that's just the reality of EMS. Protocols change by region, medical directors set their own guidelines, and no single resource could ever match every curriculum across the country. These cards are designed to be a supplemental study tool, not a replacement for your program or your local protocols. When it comes to dosages, indications, and contraindications, always follow what your medical director and system require. Will these actually help me pass the NREMT?

I really loved this bundle. I feel like this would really help me achieve my goal of getting my paramedic. There is 117 flashcards. All a very good resource. Not just a main medications but a lot you may have never heard of. Gives very simple instructions for good IV points and tips and tricks

So so so helpful. 100% worth the buy. The medication cards help a ton yet they also include info on IV, IÓ, etc etc sites. Tips and tricks, some med math, tons of insanely useful info. Especially as you transition from EMT, to AEMT, to Paramedic. I’m stocked to try these out as I earn my Paramedic in the future.
They were missing several drugs but for the most part they have a lot of the basics that we go through for paramedics. There were three airway cards that I could not find in the pile but overall I do enjoy the lettering and the easy to read cards. They also feel great in my hand and they're quite durable. I wish they were a few of those airway, and cardiac drugs left but they are missing. I also enjoy the fact that they have other cards that show MedMath and details with diagrams on all sorts of things.

really great flash cards. comes in a box perfect sized to throw in your bag. glossy texture to cards and clear information. very excited for additional sets.
After burning through countless study aids during my paramedic program, these physical flashcards have become my daily drill partners. The moment I pulled them from the box, I could tell they were built for the trenches - thick, laminated cardstock that survives coffee spills and being jammed in my gear bag shift after shift. The color-coded system (trauma in red, cardiology in blue) lets me instantly grab what I need to review, whether I've got five minutes between calls or an hour to cram.
What makes these different is how they force you to think like you're on scene. Each card presents a scenario that starts with assessment findings and builds through interventions, exactly like running a call. I've found myself automatically reciting the steps from these cards during clinical rotations, and my preceptors have noticed the difference. The drug dosage cards in particular saved me during pharmacology - having everything from adenosine to zofran laid out clearly helped cement those numbers in my brain.
